NUMARK HEADPHONES ENABLE ANALOG AND USB CUEING

PHX USB Headphones Enable DJs to Cue From Analog Gear or Computer via USB

Cumberland, R.I. (Jan. 14, 2010) – Numark, the world’s leading manufacturer of DJ technology, announces PHX USB, professional DJ headphones with dual cables for analog and USB connections. Numark will introduce PHX USB at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, booth 6400, January 14–17. PHX USB professional DJ headphones feature an innovative, dual-input design. DJs can connect PHX USB to virtually all of their gear thanks to traditional analog and modern USB stereo inputs. The standard analog cable enables DJs to use PHX USB with mixers, CD players and other analog gear. They can also use the included USB cable and cue directly from their computer with no need for an audio interface or dedicated sound card.

PHX USB headphones are designed specifically for the professional DJ. They employ an isolating, closed–cup design for great isolation from outside noise. Their large, 50mm neodymium drivers produce clean, powerful output. These two-sided headphones have a convenient, swiveling design on one cup so they're easy to wear one-sided. The ear cups also have a special rubber-silicone casing for DJs to comfortably rest them securely between the ear and shoulder.

PHX USB headphones also come with a complete assortment of options. DJs can choose between smooth vinyl and soft velour ear pads for the feel they prefer. Analog and USB cables and a gold-plated 1/4-inch adapter are included for complete connection flexibility. Plus, thanks to their folding design, DJs can carry PHX USB in their included drawstring bag.

“PHX USB is the first headphone designed with the computer DJ in mind,” said Mark Matthews, Director of Product Development, Numark. “While there are other USB headphones available, no other headphone connects to all types of DJ gear, the DJ’s computer and is made exclusively for the DJ environment.”

PHX USB headphones will be available from musical instrument and DJ retailers in February 2010.
