A couple of years ago, we were approached by some world-champion DMC and ITF battle DJs. These best-of-the-best platter masters know exactly what needs to be in a scratch mixer and teamed up with us to build the ultimate scratch mixer. CLASSIC LINEAGE
The heavyweight design of our classic PRO SM-1 mixer was the springboard for the development of PRO SMX. With its hefty construction, PRO SMX simply does not move during performances. PRO SMX has a heavy-gauge, screwless aluminum faceplate with diamond-cut edges making it both rugged and attractive. The uncompromising build quality of PRO SMX is highlighted by its rugged, thick metal construction.PRO SMX was designed with a height that is perfect for use with TTX USB, CDX, and other high-grade professional turntables.
PREMIUM SIGNAL PATH
PRO SMX features a 100% analog audio path to preserve the natural warmth of vinyl. We selected high-quality components including gold-plated rear panel connectors to eliminate poor cable connections, XLR master outputs for an extra-clean, reliable balanced signal. An entirely analog signal running through high-end components results in outstandingly high audio quality. Three inputs per channel including balanced 1/4" inputs permit connection of drum machines, samplers and other musical instruments with reliable signal transmission.
PRO SMX features a PRO X FADE conductive-polymer VCA crossfader, which controls audio via voltage change. This translates to an ultra-clean signal that is not impacted by the fader, virtually eliminating the possibility of audio bleed-through as seen in lesser crossfaders.
SOPHISTICATED EFFECTS CHAIN
In its newly engineered effects loop, PRO SMX employs signal-sensing, phase-coherent intelligence. PRO SMX automatically routes audio for optimum sound quality and reduces the chance of unwanted signal interruption or audio artifacts.
Effects send and receive jacks are automatically bridged when no cables are connected so that no accidental interruptions to audio signal occur. When the effects loop is engaged, PRO SMX automatically routes the signal to eliminate phase cancellation caused by the effected signal mixing with dry signal.
AMMUNITION FOR BATTLE
PRO SMX sports a PRO X FADE crossfader, considered by many to be the world’s finest crossfader. The crossfader has adjustable end points and torque, enabling customized feel. Crossfader and line fader-reverse switches permit the fader direction to be selected to your preference. 
The slope of each side of the crossfader and each line fader is adjustable to provide comprehensive custom-tailored performance.The PRO X FADE’s conductive-polymer technology increases fader life and reduces the need for cleaning. Adjustable cut-in endpoints enable the DJ to adjust from razor-sharp cutting to a smooth volume increase. Adjustable resistance enables the DJ to change the feel to suit their needs from a fast, light throw for speed to a solid, smooth feel for long-mixing techniques.
PRO SMX has a three-band EQ section on each channel. These advanced EQs are switchable between ±12 dB for traditional EQing or +12 dB/-INF for use as frequency kills. A new auxiliary Session input with volume control allows mixers to be daisy-chained for a large scratch session.
