NUMARK TO EXHIBIT iDJ PRO DJ SYSTEM FOR iPad AT 2012 IFA SHOW IN BERLIN

iDJ Pro combines with Algoriddim’s award-winning djay app for iPad to give DJs an all-new mixing and performance experience.

Cumberland, R.I. (August 31, 2012) – Numark, the world’s leading manufacturer of DJ technology, introduces iDJ Pro, a professional DJ system for iPad powered by Algoriddim, makers of the popular djay app for iOS devices. Numark will showcase iDJ Pro at Booth 126 at the 2012 IFA show from 31 August to 5 September in Berlin, Germany.

iDJ Pro puts iPad at the center of an innovative dual-platter DJ setup, giving DJs access to the iPad’s touchscreen alongside an expanded layout of physical controls: touch-sensitive platters, large die-cast aluminum volume knobs, a dedicated music library scroll knob, plus hot cues, looping, pitch, and effect controls.

Developed in partnership with Algoriddim, iDJ Pro seamlessly integrates with the djay app for iPad, winner of the 2011 Apple Design Award. An updated version of djay has been tailored specifically for iDJ Pro with the ability to run in vertical orientation, giving DJs two powerful control surfaces on one controller: iDJ Pro’s physical platters, buttons, and faders, and djay’s virtual platters, X/Y effect pads, and intuitive song-selection controls.

iDJ Pro comes in a sleek brushed-aluminum casing and is equipped with all the professional controls DJs expect, plus some design features and capabilities that will inspire brand-new surges of creativity. Thanks to iPad’s wireless capability, DJs have access to virtually any song instantly. iDJ Pro empowers DJs with access to the cloud, allowing them to instantly download a track to their iPad and have it pumping in seconds. Plus, thanks to the Airplay feature built into djay for iPad, iDJ Pro can blast a DJ’s set wirelessly to Airplay speakers. iDJ Pro comesready to party with professional microphone and external-device inputs as well as balanced XLR master outputs.

“This is one fun DJ controller,” said Chris Roman, Senior Product Manager, Numark. “With iDJ Pro, we’re giving DJs a clean, incredibly powerful controller that has capabilities DJs couldn’t even imagine a few years ago.”

“We are pleased to partner with Numark for the iDJ Pro,” said Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim. “Our goal is to provide a system that is fully integrated while being realistic and easy to use. The combination of our app and iDJ Pro is a prime example of how integrating hardware and software can advance the DJ industry.”

iDJ Pro will be available in Q3 of 2012 with an MSRP of $699 and an estimated street price of $499.
