Dual-Deck Player Features Scratching, Seamless Looping And More

Cumberland, R.I. (Jul. 17, 2009) – Numark, the world’s leading manufacturer of DJ technology, announces its new CDN450 rack-mount dual MP3/CD player. CDN450 will make its debut at Numark's booth, number 400, at the Summer NAMM Show held at the Nashville Convention Center, July 17 – 19.

CDN450 is a highly reliable, dual-deck MP3/CD player. DJs will enjoy performance features, easy operation and rock-solid reliability. With advanced functions like seamless looping on both decks for CD and MP3, real-time scratching and the security of Anti-Shock™, CDN450 is a perfect player for mobile DJs working events and fixed installs in clubs, bars, restaurants and more.

CDN450 enables DJs to play all of their CDs and MP3 CDs to carry more tracks on fewer discs. The player displays text for ID3 tags and folder names so DJs will find navigation easy. They can quickly access the track they want and bend pitch on CDN450’s easy-to-use jog wheels. DJs can pitch tracks up and down on 8 and 16-percent ranges for easy beat matching. They can create and integrate seamless loops with CDs and MP3s on CDN450.

In addition to standard single-track and continuous playback, CDN450's programmable playback mode enables DJs to set up a sequence of tracks for convenient playback. They can set and store cue points in real time for creative performance.

CDN450 also has Fader Start, which can automatically start cued-up playback when the DJ moves the crossfader on a compatible mixer. From the company that introduced DJs to Anti-Shock™, CDN450 contains a built-in buffer for worry-free and skip-free performance.

CDN450 is built in an attractive, rack-mount package that is equally at home in angled and straight racks. DJs can mount the control and drive units together or separately for setup flexibility. It plays CD and CD-R discs for media convenience, and the CD player is housed in an all-metal chassis for rugged, reliable performance.

“CDN450 is a no-nonsense, multi-format player,” said Mark Matthews, Director of Product Development, Numark. “It’s reliable, packed with features, and compatible with the two most popular music format for mobile DJs.”
