A friend of mine came up with the idea of staging a live YouTube battle - people going head to head trying to top each other with their favorite YouTube videos. But how to do it? Do we have have people with dueling laptops furiously searching websites for their favorite video? That could lead to some serious lag issues, and we wanted things fast and furious - like speed chess players slamming their clocks to signal their end-of-turn.

Then it hit me - we could use a NuVJ like a chess clock! Turn on Fader Start, and when you slide the Crossfader towards your opponent, it will automatically play the clip they've got cued up. I grabbed my camera and put together a video to show y'all how it works:
