Digital Marketing Director

Reporting to the VP of Creative, the Digital Marketing Director will oversee marketing initiatives across our portfolio of music-related brands. Numark Industries, based in Cumberland RI but with an additional office in Somerville MA, is one of six growing companies within the music industry:

Our Marketing group is a shared resource across the growing number of brands we support, and we’re looking for someone to jump in and make an immediate contribution. The position has one direct report, our Marketing & PR Coordinator, with the possibility of a larger team over time. Our ideal candidate has a solid grounding in traditional marketing with a focus on recent tech-trends, in other words: we’re looking for someone who can help us navigate the shifting tides of social media.

The Work:

  • Responsible for driving marketing strategy including ad spend
  • Balances cross-channel marketing efforts to optimize coverage
  • Contributes to Public Relations and aligns PR with overall marketing initiatives
  • Builds an ambitious marketing program for Sonivox, the newest brand to our family
  • Collaborates with Product Managers from all brands to get their products maximum attention
  • Coordinate with global release partners to maintain unified global release campaigns
  • Drives new campaign creation for strategic launches, working with outside partners as needed

Experience Required:

5+ years of experience working in the digital music space
5+ years of experience of executing large-scale promotions online
5+ years of experience working with brand and artist promotions
- Good organizational and follow through skills; ability to communicate efficiently with key executives
- Attention to detail and deadlines: a task-master who nonetheless knows how to delegate
- Problem-solver: track record of addressing complex marketing problems with cost effective solutions
- Works well in a team environment, someone who enjoys acting as a mentor to existing team members
- Passionate and up to date on all advancements in the digital space—especially the digital music space!

BA or BS degree with graduate work in marketing or an MBA a definite plus

Junior Web Developer

Numark Industries is seeking a Junior Web Developer to join the team!

The Web Developer position requires proficiency with OOP programming in several languages primarily PHP and relational databases such as MySQL. The position demands experience working in a LAMP environment consisting of a broad range of servers, managed and unmanaged. Experience with server interaction via SSH and Expression Engine development experience is ideal.

This person will be joining the existing web team and will be responsible for assisting in creating new websites and applications. This person will also be responsible for the daily maintenance of current sites and will play an essential role in developing cutting edge web sites that drive Numark's many initiatives on the internet.

Engineering Manager

Numark is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to manage the engineering of numerous projects and help drive efficient and timely schedules.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position should have 10-15 years experience designing audio/consumer products. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

This candidate would manage the engineering of numerous projects. This candidate would determine the most appropriate platform for a given product design, would staff the project accordingly, would work with project managers to reach aggressive schedule deadlines and would manage products through and after the development cycle. Experience with Asian manufacturers is preferred.

Project Manager

Numark is seeking an experienced project manager to drive efficient and timely project schedules.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position should have 3-6 years experience designing audio or consumer products. The candidate must have a B.S. degree.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

This candidate would manage several projects to reach aggressive schedule deadlines and would manage products through and after the development cycle. Experience with Asian manufacturers is a plus. This candidate should have experience with PC/Mac DJ software applications as well as DJ audio products. This candidate should be familiar with MIDI mapping and be able to write clear emails and help with product specifications. The candidate should be very organized and eager to drive schedules.

Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer

Numark is seeking an experienced hardware/firmware engineer to design hardware systems (schematic and layout) who has a passion for audio equipment.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position should have 5 to 10 years experience with hardware system design, schematic design, PCB design, and firmware development. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in electrical engineering.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

This candidate would design hardware systems, design schematics, perform some PCB layout, lead prototype bring-up, and evaluate parts and systems. This candidate would develop firmware for the hardware systems. FPGA design knowledge is a plus. Experience designing consumer/professional audio products is preferred.

Firmware Engineer

Numark is seeking an experienced firmware engineer to design audio/consumer products.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position should have 5 to 10 years experience designing audio/consumer products. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in computer science or related engineering field.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

This candidate would design firmware systems on embedded platforms. The candidate should have experience coding firmware for audio products. DSP skills are a plus. Experience with USB firmware is preferred.

Mechanical Engineer

Numark is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design audio/consumer products.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position should have 5 to 10 years experience with mechanical design of audio/consumer products. The candidate must have a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

This candidate would perform the mechanical design of the audio/consumer products along with evaluating mechanical designs and prototypes. This candidate should have a good knowledge of materials and tooling designs. Experience with Asian manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of design for plastic injection molding and design for manufacturability is preferred. Experienced working hands-on with industrial designers and project managers is a plus, as is experience with Solidworks.

Electronics Engineer

Numark is expanding and is seeking to hire an experienced Audio Electronics Engineer.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience designing and developing mass market audio products. The candidate must have strong experience in the areas of analog and digital audio for microcontroller based products. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, is required.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

Interprets and implements product performance specifications in order to design and specify audio electronics based products. Works with product managers to develop functional specifications; researches components and costs; Specifies, designs, and implements analog and digital audio processing circuitry, microcontroller circuitry, and DSP code.

This is a hands-on design engineering position ideal for an engineer with a passion for developing audio products. The candidate must have proven experience designing and testing analog signal processing, including designing DSP and microcontroller circuits, performing schematic capture, as well as developing DSP code and firmware code for various DSP and microcontroller IC’s.

Strong experience with Audio Precision is a must, including writing test procedures for manufacturing. Experience with FilterShop is a plus. The candidate must have schematic capture and BOM experience. PCB layout experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate for this position would have a mix of experience designing audio mixers, signal processing equipment, loudspeaker processing, etc. Experience developing products which interface to mobile phones, tablet computers, and PC’s is a plus. Experience designing and testing class-D power amplifiers and switch mode power supplies is a plus. Experience with wireless audio and communication protocols is a plus. Candidates with professional audio product experience will be preferred.

The candidate must have strong project management and communication skills. Experience working with far-east suppliers and contract manufacturers is highly desirable.

Loudspeaker Systems Engineer

Numark is expanding and we are seeking to hire an experienced Loudspeaker Systems Engineer.

Experience and Education Required:

The candidate for this position must have a minimum of 5+ years experience designing and developing mass market loudspeaker products for the professional and/or consumer marketplace. The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or in a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Key Job Responsibilities and Technical Experience Requirements:

Interprets and implements product performance specifications in order to design and specify loudspeaker based products. Works with industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to specify, and to develop solutions for acoustics, signal processing, transducers, and power amplification.

Performs and interprets measurements of: Loudspeaker systems and components; analog and digital signal processing, power amplifiers, and limiter/protection circuits. Analyzes measurements in order to design or specify design changes. Candidate must have experience using Audio Precision measurement equipment, and experience with an acoustical measurement system such as TEF, CLIO, or preferably MLSSA.

Experience with Filtershop and LEAP is desirable. Experience evaluating and specifying loudspeaker transducer components is highly desirable. Experience designing high frequency horns and waveguides is a plus.

Experience specifying and designing analog and digital signal processing for loudspeaker products is a must. Experience testing and troubleshooting power amplifiers is a definite plus.

The candidate must have strong project management skills. Experience working with far-east suppliers and contract manufacturers is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance Tester

Numark is seeking a motivated candidate to join our Quality Assurance team to help test our latest gear and report findings to our engineers and developers. Candidates must have a working familiarity with professional audio and/or DJ equipment. Recording, live sound, and/or music performance experience is required. Candidates must be thorough, methodical, well-organized, and have attention to detail. Your feedback will help determine the quality and usability of our recording and performance gear.

Qualifications

  • Experience in live sound, music recording, and/or music performance
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree recommended but not required
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, etc)
